Currituck County Government, the North Carolina Cooperative Extension and the Currituck County Regional Airport wanted to create an event to bring people together not just for the camaraderie but to support an issue that does not get much visibility.

Kids First was one of the first certified (now accredited) Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) in the state of North Carolina. Accredited CACs must meet standards established by the National Children’s Alliance in order to obtain this status.
